The Address Bar

The Location Bar

One of the most important parts of your browser is the address bar.  This is where you type in the address of the web site that you want to visit.

Every web page on the Internet has its own address.  For example, the address of the BBC is www.bbc.co.uk

If you type an address into the address bar (and then press ENTER), you will be taken to that page.

To go to another page on the World Wide Web, you must type the address you want into your address bar and press ENTER.  Remember to enter the correct spelling very carefully or you will not go to the correct page.
