2.  Subtracting time. What are the answers?
a.  2 hours earlier than 11.50 am
b. 1 hour fifteen minutes earlier than 4.20 pm
c. 50 minutes earlier than 12.15 pm
d.

3 hours 40 minutes earlier than 2.10 pm
e. 1 hour 35 minutes earlier than 5.25 pm
f. 2 hours 25 minutes earlier than 7.55 pm

  

 

3.  Adding time. What are the answers?
a.  45 minutes later than 10.25 am
b. 1 hour 20 minutes later than 11.45 am

4.  Some more time questions:

a.  A train leaves London for Manchester and takes 3 hours fifteen minutes. If you must be in Manchester by 5.00 pm at the latest, what time must you leave London?

b.  A film starts at 2.45 pm and lasts 2 hours 25 minutes. What time does the film finish?

c.  Jill has homework for 1 hour 20 minutes every night and starts at 6.30pm. What time does she finish?

d.  Paul walks to school and it takes him 50 minutes. If he has to be at school at 8.45 am, what time must he leave home?
