Adventure International has a range of different activities
to suit everyone.
Land Based
Caving
Adventure International have their own purpose built
tunnels and chambers beneath the centre. The
activity is physically challenging and allows
individuals to conquer their own personal fears. Abseiling
Abseiling takes place on the Black Wall at Northcott
Mouth, a magnificent 140' cliff just a 15 minute
walk from the centre itself. This activity has
proven to be the most mentally challenging but
exhilarating that Adventure International offer.
Team Trail
This activity is set in the centres grounds; it
consists of a variety of different challenges and
obstacles testing individuals and teams as a whole.
The course can be change to suit different
abilities.
Mountain Boarding
Mountain Boarding allows all ability ranges to
quickly progress to be able to travel down the hill
in a safe and controlled manner before progressing
on to the ramp. This has become one of Adventure
Internationals most popular activities.
Development Training Task
Development Training tasks can range from
icebreakers and fun activities to day long multi
stage team development exercises. All activities are
guaranteed to promote team work and individual
initiative within the group.
High Ropes
The High Ropes Course consists of 6 high elements
that are both individual and team based and 2 low
elements for those who prefer to build up to the
higher challenges.
The course offers something for all abilities and a
good mixture of individual and team tasks.
Climbing
Climbing facilities can be found within the centres
grounds consisting of a multi pitch climbing wall
and a large bouldering facility.
The routes and problems are set at all differing
ability levels so there is something for everyone to
challenge themselves against.
Water based
Surfing
Adventure International is based in the perfect
location for surfing. The Atlantic swell only 2
minutes from the centre providing ideal conditions
throughout the season.
Many people have begun their surfing experience at
Bude and returned again and again.
Body Boarding
This is one of the easier disciplines to begin in
and it is easy to understand its high popularity. It
can be taught and achieved in a small space of
time!
Dragon Boating
This takes place on the historic Bude Canal only a
short wander from the centre. It involves a team
along with an instructor navigating through the
canal as a team. This is team based and relaxing
activity.
Kayaking
This takes place on the River Neet which is found
directly in front of the centre. The shallow and
enclosed water make this an ideal venue for
Kayaking. The centre is B.C.U. approved and uses
only approved teaching methods, equipment and staff.
Canoeing
This takes place on the River Neet where students
can navigate across the river at their own pace.
Canoes can either be paddled solo or by a crew of up
to 3, meaning co-operation and team work are
invaluable tools.
