School Trips
General school visits to the museum are free of
charge, giving you access to the state-of-the-art
displays and fabulous collections. You can also
choose to add on a range of curriculum-focused
sessions delivered by our Learning Team and by
costumed drama characters.
The
Museum offers an exciting range of interactive,
curriculum-focused sessions for Primary and
Secondary students. We also offer a programme for
SEN school groups. Alternatively, you may be able to
book a self-guided visit to the museum.
PreVisit Information
There are some guidance sheets so you can start to
plan a school visit. They tell you how to get to
the museum, health and safety information and things
you need to do before and on the day of your visit.
You can use these whether you are booking a visit
for a Primary school or Secondary school. For SEN

The
school bookings team is available to discuss your
requirements and to take your booking over the
phone. General school visits to the museum are free
of charge. There is a charge of £1 per child for
booked sessions. Phone us on 020 7565 7298.
The
Bookings team will send you a booking form to fill
out. You need to send this back in order to fully
confirm your booking.
Secondary schools
If
you wish to book a visit for a secondary school
group you can contact the Secondary schools officer

Secondary sessions are currently free of charge
(subject to a cancellation fee).
SEN schools

you wish to book a visit for a special school group
