Resurfacing
Professional Sanding-
Roger Hyde uses experienced,
professional technicians and the
latest technology and equipment to
provide a fine finish, minimising
the potential harm of sanding,
nationwide.
On Granwood floors Roger Hyde only
uses approved equipment along with
additional Cyclone dust extraction
systems. They also offer a full
court marking service using approved
games paint. They also use
recommended industry leading
polyurethane seals to ensure maximum
protection. |

Non-sanding Floorsave process-
Sanding a floor can reduce its life by up to
25 years, therefore Roger Hyde only
occasionally recommend this process.
The non-sanding Floorsave process that they
offer, involves using technically advanced
equipment and materials ensuring client
convenience and floor downtime is minimised.
The process allows trained technicians to
chemically treat Wood and Granwood surfaces,
removing dirt and residue such as chewing
gum whilst also preserving painted lines
nationwide.
Once this is dried and sensitively
disc-abraded to achieve a mechanical key,
industry leading, commercial strength
polyurethane seal is applied.
After a 24 hour curing period, the floor
surface is ready for action.
Take advantage of our free survey
Roger Hyde Limited offers a free of charge
site survey. We will note how the floor is
currently being used, what future plans you
have and assess the best way to achieve
your needs.
The survey includes measuring how slippery
your floor is compared to the BS5395 – A
guide to slip resistance. There are simple
ways you can be shown on how to improve
this slip meter reading by as much as 200%.
The measurement of dampness of your floor
and how many microns of seal are left is
included in the site survey report. These
readings are essential to ensure that you
receive the best advice and recommendations.
Why poor preparation leads to problems
We believe it is critical to get the
preparation right. To take short-cut stages
is a false
economy. Using our experience such as
ensuring all chemicals are neutralised, or
removing surface dust by vacuuming after
every stage and tack mopping before any
seal is applied, means that problems of
non-adhesion or limited seal life are
removed.
Nearly 25% of our floor refurbishing and
resealing is putting right mistakes made in
previous preparation attempts or as a result
of using cheap materials.
