IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT!

It can stop! BUT YOU MUST TELL SOMEONE!

Only you can put a stop to the bullying and you can do it. Don’t suffer in silence any more. You must tell someone, be it a teacher, youth worker, your family or a friend.

Bullies only appear to be strong. They are not. They are the opposite, very weak and if the tables were turned they would be the first to run off.

YOU MUST TELL SOMEONE!

Just by speaking to someone is the first step to stop the bullying. The bully will realise that other people are now be onto them. Their first reaction will probably be one of denial but you must stick to your side. Remember the truth always comes out in the end.

The bully will stop when he/she realises the consequences including:

Detentions after school.
Exclusion from school trips.
Lunchtime and playtime play being suspended.
Their parents being called to the school for the Head teacher to inform them what is happening.
Exclusion/ expulsion from the school.

Start a bullying diary. List the key facts of what actually happened.
Here is an example:

Date you were bullied:

Time of incident:
Where did it happen?
What actually happened?
How did you react?
How did you feel?
Did you sustain any injuries?
Were there any onlookers?
Was your property damaged or taken?
Did you report it ? Who to?
Name of Bully/bullies:
Names of onlookers:
Any other witnesses:
Did anyone try to help you? If so, who?
