Look around you…imagine what it would be like without houses, roads, bridges, hospitals and schools. Ask your students to imagine the same. If there were no cinemas, shops or parks where would people spend their time? It’s easy to forget that the construction industry literally built the community where we all live – and it’s a fact often overlooked by young people.  That’s why we need your help to open their minds to the opportunities the construction industry offers.

And if you thought of construction as lots of men in hard hats, think again.  With a multitude of skills involved – from project management to skilled trades, IT to marketing, computer-aided design to engineering and surveying to accounting and town & country planning – construction offers a wide variety of opportunities.

The industry needs people with all sorts of skills and abilities, people who can work as part of a team and who show commitment and enthusiasm to get the job done. So whether your student wants to become a carpenter or demolition expert, civil engineer, architect or planner, they’ll be joining a team all working together to build a strong long lasting future.
