Will CompuCover pay out cash in the event of a claim?
No, CompuCover will never pay out cash; this is not how the claims procedure works. In the event of theft CompuCover will replace equipment to the same or similar specification up to the insured value. In the case of accidental damage CompuCover will ensure that your claim results in priority authorisation to repair the equipment. Claims may only be dealt with by our appointed suppliers and repairers. We will arrange for the machine to be collected. Under no circumstances should you arrange your own repair or resupply.

What happens if my equipment needs to be replaced because of theft/damage, but the same model is no longer available?

CompuCover will replace your old equipment with a model currently on the market closest in specifications to your old one. You will never receive a worse model and we will not source used equipment.
Is my PC/laptop covered if I am abroad?
Yes, as long as you have provided CompuCover with a permanent UK address, your equipment is covered when you travel abroad. The only thing that CompuCover will not cover is the cost of couriers for collecting your old equipment for repair or assessment or sending new equipment out to you.

My machine is custom built; can I insure it with CompuCover?
