Ways
of purchasing Petit Pont
Did you know that the Government has set aside
substantial funds for your school to spend on multimedia
resources in the form of eLCs (eLearning Credits)? The
money is distributed from central Government via LEAs to
individual schools, which decide locally how to spend
it.
Every school has an appointed eLC budget-holder (eg your
head, head of department, Bursar or ICT coordinator).
All teachers are invited to recommend resources for
purchase.
|
If you’d like to order Petit Pont, ask your ELC
budget-holder for approval – then you can order direct
from Eclipse Books, saying you are using eLCs.
Your
school will be invoiced as usual and can claim the funds
from their eLC budget. |

Reasons for and how to involve parents
For language learning to be effective, children need
time to practise and reuse what they have learnt. As
well as rehearsing new words and phrases as regularly as
possible in class, it can make a huge difference if
school learning can be followed up at home. With the
Petit Pont CD-ROM this becomes fun rather than work.
Schools and clubs whose children have their own CD-ROMs
all attest to the amazing progress their children have
made.
