Your male skin care regime needs to include hydrating and protecting the skin through moisturisation. Keeping your skin clean and healthy is not only beneficial for your looks but your health as well.

The best time to moisturise  the skin is directly after bathing. When a person emerges from a bath, their skin is wet. Experts say that’s just the time to moisturise because the wet body will lock in the moisture. If you wait to moisturise until the skin is dry, the air could actually pull water out of skin. This makes the skin even dryer than before the bath and defeats the purpose of the moisturiser. Thus the timing of the moisturiser can make a big difference.

Your skin loses moisture throughout the year, not just during the drier winter months, so keeping it hydrated is essential. Drinking enough water every day can help. But equally important is a daily moisturiser that is oil-free and light so it absorbs quickly.

Men’s skin moisturising products also include key antioxidants to rejuvenate and stimulate the collagen fibres and elastin tissue in the skin. Using a moisturiser as part of your skin care regime can reduce visible wrinkles and fine lines to make the skin appear smooth, plump and younger. Moisturisers also  contain different anti-oxidants to regenerate skin cells that lessen the appearance of wrinkles.
