School Field Trips

The Golden Hinde Tour operates as a Living History museum, its offers a fulltime schedule of educational programmes suited to schools and families. Educational programmes include guided tours, workshops and the opportunity for both schools and family groups to spend a night on board the ship on an imaginary voyage. Children learn 16th Century skills; eat Tudor food and experience life as it was 400 years ago.

More than 2 million students have visited this floating museum on school field trips taking the opportunity to experience this unique educational opportunity. The unique, lively and interactive educational programme is linked to the National Curriculum, suitable for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3. All activities are aimed towards providing hands-on learning experiences which help to stimulate and enhance the understanding of what is taught in the classroom.
