Train:
Mainline, Northern and Jubilee lines: From London Bridge
Stations 2 minute walk. (Follow signs to Southwark Cathedral.)
District and Circle Line: Monument Station 5 minute walk. Cross
London Bridge on upstream side (right hand side) and you will
see the ship beside Southwark Cathedral.

Car:
Travel East on Southwark Street from Southwark Bridge Road.
Enter Borough High Street heading towards London Bridge. Turn

Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
This is a reconstruction of the Elizabethan Theatre, which burnt
down in 1613, situated in 21st Century Bankside. A visit to the
Globe includes a guided tour of the theatre itself and a walk
around the exhibition of Elizabethan theatrical costumes and
musical instruments. The Globe is open daily from 9.00-12.00
(May-Sept) 10.00-17.00 (Oct-April)

Southwark Cathedral
Next to the Golden Hinde is the Cathedral and collegiate church
of St. Saviour and St. Mary Overie Southwark. The Cathedral
offers regular and special services, special events, a visitor
centre and exhibition which boasts a wide range of educational
activities for schools and groups, as well as a shop, refectory,
library and conference centre.
The Cathedral is open 8.00-18.00, admission is free.

Tate Modern
Situated opposite St. Paul's Cathedral on the South Bank of the
river, accessible via the new Millennium Bridge. This former
power station has been transformed into a gallery of modern art
featuring permanent and temporary displays of the well known and
not so well known modern artists.

The home of the Royal Watercolour Society and Royal Society of

HMS Belfast
Now part of the Imperial War Museum, HMS Belfast is Europe's
last big-gun armoured warship to have seen action in World War
II and still be around to tell the tales. There are nine decks

Bankside's wine tasting attraction offering an audio-guided tour
through a exhibition of the world's wine regions and their

The Bramah Tea and Coffee Museum
A museum of the history of tea from 1600 - 1950 and the spread
