Colds and Flu

The cold is the most common infection/ illness on the planet. It is no mistake that it is called The COMMON Cold. Typical symptoms include a runny nose, congestion, headache, sore throat, aches and pains, fever and sneezing to name a few. Quite simply there is no cure for the common cold. However there are a number of over-the-counter products that can relieve some of the suffering.

With full blown flu there are some additional symptoms including vomiting, diarrhoea, sore eyes, appetite loss and a worn out feeling that can last up to a week.

What to Do

Encourage your child to relax and rest. There are some over the counter remedies available but you should check with your doctor or pharmacist first to see if they are suitable for your child.
