business travellers, according to the Association of British
Insurers (ABI).

free travel insurance policies are often lacking in
vital cover whilst those which must be paid for are usually
very expensive. UK travel agents are no longer allowed to
insist on the customer booking their travel insurance
through them. You’re urged to shop around and cover the
market online. You’ll soon find a better travel insurance
deal.
When looking to
buy travel insurance, people are reminded that insurance
is rarely an identical, off-the-shelf product. The usual
lure is the price, however, the level of cover can vary
drastically between each travel insurance provider. It is
always worth searching the market for your best options and
reading the small print before you buy a policy. Customers
do not feel as though they consume an insurance product
until it actually comes to making a claim - this is the
worst time to realise that you’ve paid for a policy which
doesn’t actually provider you with the right level of cover.
