There are today over 190 out-of-town stores nationwide.
These stores range between 15,000 and 25,000 square
feet. In addition we sell from High Street stores,
Hygena @ Currys concessions and from High Street Sofa
Workshop stores.
Centralised Home Delivery originally began in October
1997 on a regional basis, achieving national coverage by
February 1999. Home Deliveries involve over 50 million
items in a year, going to 2.5 million households in
mainland UK, including Northern Ireland and the Isle of
Wight.

The fleet is organised using a sophisticated mapping
and routing package, which is linked to an
Interactive Voice Recognition (IVR) system. This
system provides efficient and accurate routes for
delivery teams to follow and also enables customers
to find out 48hrs prior to delivery, whether their
furniture will be delivered within the morning or
afternoon. |

An inbound and outbound call centre in Sunderland forms
the key elements of MFI's Home Delivery interface with
the customer. Linking all elements of the company, the
call centre is focused on improving the levels of
service provided.
