Innovations

Over the past 30 years Neff has developed a reputation for innovative products that provide real benefit for the user. From the long list of these products we have selected some of the innovations that are available in our current range.

The B1881 oven with the slide away door has won then Good Housekeeping Product Innovation Award for 2002.

First introduced in 1972, Circotherm is unique to Neff. Due to the efficiency of this system Circotherm ovens use lower temperatures. The highest temperature of 190 is equivalent to 230 in a conventional oven.

Introduced in 1996 Hydro-clean is an energy efficient, environmentally friendly way of cleaning your oven. A small amount of water and washing up liquid is poured into the specially designed base of the oven. A switch will bring on the lower element to heat the water and produce steam. After a cooling down period the oven can be wiped out with the special sponge, provided. Ovens with hydro-clean have a drop down grill to make cleaning easier.

FlexiRail® system

FlexiRail® makes your oven more versatile. It’s an internal rail and shelving system that means you can easily change and reconfigure your oven to accommodate different sized pans, dishes and roasting joints.

FlexiRail® uses individual plug in rails which can be easily moved so you can tailor your own rail and shelf system. The robust, heavy duty rails clip on and off easily, and are very easy to clean – you can use as many or as few as you want, giving you total flexibility. They’re also very easy to look after as you can simply unclip, and put them straight in the dishwasher.

The Telescopic FlexiRail system includes one pair of fully extendible telescopic rails which can be moved to a height that’s right for whatever you happen to be cooking. You can put a wire shelf or roasting pan on these extendible rails, which means you can pull out the whole dish and then stir or baste without having to remove it from the shelf. It’s saferand easier than having to remove food from the oven entirely. This is perfect for heavy roasts and casserole dishes.
The rails move smoothly and have rear stop bars to keep them from tipping. You can buy more pairs of telescopic rails from our accessory shop to give you even more flexibility.

Eletronic Control

Expert cooks need to feel confident that they can control their oven’s temperature with great accuracy. Our easy to use electronic controls, available on many models, will automatically suggest and maintain the exact temperature you need.

If you’re cooking delicate foods, you can rely on our electronic controls to automatically suggest and maintain a precise temperature for you. It gives you that extra bit of confidence and cuts out any risk of heat fluctuations. The settings are easy to see and understand and adjust, giving you pin point control and flexibility when you’re cooking.

There are also several safety features incorporated into our electronically controlled ovens – these include a child safety lock and automatic switch off. ClearText is an added feature of electronic control that is available on some of our ovens. It’s an innovative way of selecting and controlling the various functions on your oven. Instead of having all the icons on your oven fascia panel it groups them into relevant functions and presents them in a clear, simple, relevant manner.

On the B1664 model, ClearText works through a central touch control scroller, the ‘ScrollControl’. As you’d expect from Neff, it’s so easy to use – rather like a computer mouse. You use it to move through selections and just click on the functions and settings you need. You can store recipes in the ClearText memory, and an actual temperature display shows you how quickly your oven is heating up.

NeffLight®
We’re the first appliance manufacturer to introduce bright, effective halogen lighting inside our ovens. A unique feature, the NeffLight® lets you see exactly what you’re cooking without opening the oven door.

NeffLight® provides an increased level of effective internal lighting in all areas of your main oven, so you can see how your food’s cooking without opening the door and letting the heat escape. Most ovens have an internal lighting system, but when you’re cooking the effectiveness of the light is reduced. NeffLight®, however, produces bright, white halogen light on all three cooking
levels, so you can see exactly how your meal is progressing.

It’s clear, accurate and extremely useful. A simple switch control automatically turns the lights off when you open the door, so you won’t be dazzled. NeffLight® works by having two halogen spotlights positioned at the bottom edge of the oven. Using a system of mirrors within the door, strong light is thrown into the oven at three different levels, so you can always keep a check on what’s going on.
