Education is an important part of the work of a modern zoo. Whether it is learning about endangered habitats and animals, encouraging foreign language skills or gaining an insight into the business of tourism. We have two indoor classrooms and a great big 10 acre animal-filled one outdoors as well!

Educational visits
Special rates are available for Nurseries, Schools, Colleges, Brownies, Cubs and various other youth groups. Our well established Education programme offers a wide range of curriculum linked workshops delivered by qualified staff. Our aim is to be flexible to your requirements and we will happily adapt or develop workshops accordingly.

College connections
In 2000 Newquay Zoo formed a special partnership with Cornwall College; this link provides invaluable work experience and research opportunities for further and higher education students on a range of courses. A new college building opened next to the Zoo in September 2006 to provide additional facilities for existing and prospective students.

Community Outreach
