Do you want to learn
AND earn?
Are you thinking about the alternatives to staying
on at school to do "A" levels, perhaps
looking to work and study at the same time? If
so, our youth training scheme maybe just right
for you. Each year we bring dedicated young people
into a wide range of placements, from scientific
to administrative, throughout the company.
What is the Pfizer
& Thanet College Training Placement Scheme?
Each year Pfizer is able to offer a number of
training placement opportunities for young local
people aged 16 or 17 who have taken or are about
to take their GCSE examinations. Starting in September,
the programme lasts for 2 years and leads to a
nationally recognised qualification. The placement
involves on-the-job training at Pfizer and day
release study at a local college. The placements
are offered in conjunction with Thanet College,
Kent under the Training Credit programme and the
College is responsible for managing scheme funding
and enrolment for college courses.

Why should I apply?

The world of work is very different to school.
A Pfizer placement can offer you the opportunity
to experience first hand what working life
is all about.

career, it can help you decide your future
direction.
-
A
placement can help build confidence, proving
to yourself you can do things that are valued
not only by you but also by others.
-
You
will have the opportunity to apply and practice
some of the skills you are learning.
-
Of
course, work experience is highly valued by
future employers.
