Office Ltd is an owned subsidiary of the Royal Mail Group plc and
operates under the Post Office™ brand.
There are around 16,000 Post Office branches worldwide, Post Office Ltd
is the largest post office network in Europe and also the largest retail
branch in the UK handling more cash than any other business.

Post Office is for ‘the little things that make the big things
happen’ though providing products and services that offer value for
money and are valuable in customer’s lives. 94% of people live
within a mile of a post office and many visit more than once a week
resulting in 41 million customer visits.
Around 550 Post Offices are managed directly however the remaining
are managed on an agency basis by subpostmasters/mistresses or
franchise partners including Tesco and Londis. |

Around
170 products are sold throughout the network and of the 2.7 billion
transactions carried out each year the majority is for banking, leisure
and postal services. 500 million household bills are paid over Post
Office counters every year, over a million travel insurance policies are
sold, and the Post Office is now the biggest provider of foreign
currency in Britain.
There are three areas that make up the Royal Mail group, Post Office
Ltd, Royal Mail and Parcel Force Worldwide.
