Synthetic Surfaces
Synthetic Surfaces are now used in soccer, hockey, golf,
tennis, cricket, skiing, hurling and rugby. SIS provide a
range of synthetic surfaces tailor made for the particular
application. For example the requirements of training and
playing pitches are different as are the differences between
a soccer pitch and a tennis court. The length of the pile
will have a crucial effect on the speed of a tennis ball
against the requirement for football or rugby games.
SIS has a range of synthetic surfaces to meet the needs of
every customer, whatever their need and usage.
SIS’s unique strength in this growing market is that they
are a one-stop shop offering a complete package for their
clients from start to finish. As Europe’s leading company
for both manufacture and installation of sports surfaces,
they provide:
Consultation & Design
They manufacture the product in their own artificial turf
factory
Their own fully-trained staff carry out the Installation and
maintenance.
There are many advantages of synthetic turf for sports and
SIS have developed their own 7-step artificial pitch
development scheme.
First Step.
Is an artificial pitch what is needed? What is the client’s
requirements and expectations? Based on meetings SIS will
develop a complete project plan to ensure that the client
will know what to expect at the end.

 |
Step Two.
SIS will design the pitch and provide a full and detailed
costing to ensure understanding where the money is being
spent and how it is being spent.
Step Three.
Based on an approved project plan and budget the SIS team
will carry out a detailed plan showing clear timelines and
key completion dates. The team will work with the client to
ensure all regulations and approvals are in place.
|
 |
Step Four.
All work on site is carried out under the supervision of a
SIS qualified project manager. The SIS installation team has
the expertise to ensure the project is on time and meets the
project objectives.
Step Five. Clients are encouraged to visit the site
and formal site visits are mandatory for the project team.
Step Six.
On completion of the artificial pitch SIS will review all
aspects of the project to ensure that the requirements and
objectives were delivered.
Step Seven.
Finally, as part of the original project program, SIS
provides a first year maintenance program, which covers site
visits, advice and specialist machinery to ensure the new
pitch stays in pristine condition.
Many play areas, playgrounds etc are suitable for a
synthetic grass surface, allowing children to play
minimising the risk of cuts and grazes from asphalt.
