Five
billion of them are sold in the UK every year and each one could
be recycled back into a ‘new’ can over and over again, saving
energy, raw materials and waste.
Aluminium can recycling can also earn cash for collectors –
there’s
£30 million
available via ‘cash for cans’
centres.

chemical forms in most rocks and soils, vegetation,
water and as in the air, and is one of the most
important and versatile metals used today. We may not be
aware of it, but aluminium as a metal is present in
every aspect of our everyday lives.

Recycling is a habit we have to get into. It makes sense
and it’s getting easier to do. Many local councils now
provide door step, or kerbside, recycling services and
in some major cities there are companies helping to make
recycling easy at work too.
