If you are willing to dedicate your life to the craft of hairdressing, be prepared for failure as well as success and are able to keep going when others might give up, you may get to be as successful as Trevor Sorbie. Learning the basics of hairdressing is the foundation required for developing the skills needed in the future. Trevor Sorbie’s training programme is 2 ½ years long. Each 3 month ‘segment’ is specific and naturally leads on to the next discipline. A highly devoted team of teachers follow the programme religiously. 3 monthly tests establish the progress and commitment from trainees.

Having completed the programme successfully, there is a final test, which Trevor himself judges. This is the ‘seal of approval’ for all clients to say that Trevor has personally approved each and every stylist and colourist.

You must first however, pass the interview!

We look for enthusiasm, a friendly demeanour and a willingness to do what it takes. It helps if parents offer their full support as it is undoubtedly a rigorous training period for someone entering what is an outstandingly creative, challenging and satisfying profession.
