Trevor Sorbie has an enviable reputation as the world’s
hairdressing icon and has won more awards worldwide than any
other hairdresser. He has a long-standing heritage in the
business, having been a hairdresser for almost forty years.
Even after so many years in the industry, Trevor Sorbie has
proved himself to be a cut above the rest, again by winning
the Most Influential Hairdresser of the Year award at the
Creative HEAD Most Wanted! 2004 hair awards.
The Most Wanted! awards are the acid test of creativity and
business acumen in UK hairdressing salons.
In January 2004 Trevor Sorbie, FCGI, was appointed a Member
of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the Queen’s New
Year Honours List.
For Trevor this honour is the culmination of a year of
incredible achievement. January 2003 marked his first
listing in Debretts; in February he was awarded the
Fellowship of the City and Guilds of London Institute; in
March he became the First Patron of Honour for the
Fellowship of Australian Hairdressing; in April he received
the AHFA British Masters Award.
During September he was voted Most Wanted! Influential
Hairdresser of 2003 and in October he won the AIPP Trophy
2003 in the Best Photo Category. During December he received
The Fellowship for British Hairdressing Inspirational
Leader. All this, plus an invitation to appear in the
International Business Leaders edition of Who’s Who!
He regularly appears on TV and in the press as well as
performing One Man Shows for hairdressing audiences
throughout the world. In the UK he is renowned for his style
and fashion expertise, just as much as his views as a hair
guru. Trevor is still based in the salon and as well as
fulfilling his hectic TV and press commitments, he still has
a client column.
A very talented, highly qualified & award-winning team work
alongside Trevor to deliver his philosophy of giving real
people the best possible hair cut/colour, at a reasonable
price, with great service.
In addition there is a talented Art Team made up of working
salon stylists Trevor Sorbie on photographic shoots,
seminars and product training both in the UK and abroad.
Angelo, the Creative Director at the Covent Garden Salon has
twice been awarded Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year.
Angelo's Italian flair comes to the fore with his innovative
photographic images. Winner of the Avant Garde Hairdresser
of the Year, in the British Hairdressing Awards 2003 & 2000.
In 2001 he was awarded the AIPP Best Avant Garde Coiffure
and in the 2002 was shortlisted in British Hairdressing
Awards. Angelo has created catwalk styles for many top
designers including Stella McCartney, Louis Vuitton,
Givenchy, Martine Sitbon and Yohji Yamamoto. An
inspirational leader in cutting techniques, Angelo, is one
of the most creative members of the Sorbie Team.
As you would expect the Trevor Sorbie salon has an enviable
client list including celebrities from the music, film and
television worlds, but whether someone famous or not all
clients are treated the same and the salon’s aim is to make
clients look and feel good.
Trevor Sorbie International has a highly successful range of
products under the Trevor Sorbie Professional brand, which
are distributed worldwide in the retail and hairdressing
sectors.
TSI exports its products to a wide variety of markets
throughout the world including Australia, Denmark, Greece,
Iceland, Hong Kong, Middle East, Italy, Hungary, Latvia,
Norway, Malta, Sweden and Taiwan.
Whilst Trevor Sorbie’s philosophy with regard to his
products and hair services is to give the consumer the
highest quality product/service, he aims to remain at an
assessable (although premium) price level.
