Modelling Clays

Modelling clays come in all different colours and are easy to shape. Children and adults have the opportunity to make jewellery, figures and home décor to name a few. The air, in a kiln or in a normal domestic oven can heat the models. Many of these clays are used during art lessons, and many are non-toxic and easy to use and shape.

Newclay
Is off white clay, which contains nylon for extra strength. Its hardens by air but can be also fired from range 1000°C - 1250°C which is suitable for adults and children. Newclay is ideal for modelling and crafts

Claydium
This also contains nylon for extra strength, it can harden without firing from a kiln and is non toxic. It also is ideal for modelling and pottery and can be painted or varnished. Is available in white or terracota.

Sculpy III
This is available in 40 different colours! Its easy and fun to use modelling medium bakes to a smooth matt finish in your domestic oven. This is ideal for making jewellery and figures. Colours may also be mixed like a palette.

Bake and bend
Polymer clay now comes in colourful versions that stays ‘rubbery and flexible’ after baking. Its available in eight different colours and is a non-toxic modelling compound, which doesn’t dry out in the air. It stays soft and pliable until placed in a normal domestic oven. It’s bendable, flexible, durable and virtually indestructible.

Eraser Clay
Eraser clay is the all-new oven bake clay, after it has been placed in the oven for 10 minutes it becomes an eraser. It can be moulded, shaped just like other clays and it comes in a variety of colours.

Granitex
This is clay you can make for granite. The tiny fibres in this clay make the unusual stone like effect. This clay is easy to condition and tool its available in pastel colours and can be painted with waterbase acrylics and dyes if desired. Granitex is ideal for making jewellery, figurines and home décor.

Newplast
This is inexpensive modelling material, like plastercine. It is safe for children to use.



There are also instruments that are used to model the clays.

Moulds
Moulds are an easy way to make models, moulds can come in a variety of shapes and sizes. It’s easy to release the clay from the moulds.

Clay Gun
Clay guns can come in 19 different shapes they can turn clay into vines, rope, hair strands, ribbons, grass and more. Can be used with Sculpey, Fimo, Modelling Compounds, Polymer Clay, Ceramic Clay even Bread Dough

Plastic Modelling Tools
These modelling tools, can be double ended, and include ribbon tools, wire tools, potters ribs and modelling sticks. These all help to mould and craft the clay into the perfect models.

Rolling Pins
These may come in a variety of sizes with a range of different textures to use on the models. They are ideal for mould and clay.
