Nappy Rash

Nappy Rash is very common - all babies get it at some point. The most common cause of nappy rash is due to a dirty or damp nappy being kept on too long. There is a chance of infection if there is a cut or open sore on a babies skin.

What to Do

The best treatment for nappy rash is to let your baby get some air by leaving the nappy off for a few hours a day. If your baby has nappy rash, you should also change nappies much more regularly. Wash your baby's bottom regularly throughout the day. There are barrier creams available to apply to the nappy area.
