Three Day Fever

Three-Day Fever also goes by the names of 'Roseola Infantum' and 'fourth disease'. It is common in babies under twelve months old. 'Three-Day Fever' usually entails a high fever lasting for three or four days. As the temperature drops a red spotty rash will appear on the body. The rash will spread for around a day before subsiding and then fading.

What to do

No specialist medical treatment is required other than the details below:

Encourage your child to take fluids, preferably water or squash. Consult your pharmacist for a syrup that will help reduce fever and temperature and use as instructed.
