To apply to any university
in the UK you will need to complete a UCAS Application form.
However some universities (Cambridge and Oxford) also
provide additional application forms for you to complete.
The UCAS Application Form comprises of four pages and is
broken down into a number of different parts:
Page 1
Page 1 addresses all the factual and personal
information required. It includes the basics such as
name, address, date of birth etc…. It also includes
the part where you specify the courses and
universities you want to apply to. You can select up
to six different courses/ universities but this is
all done on only ONE UCAS form.
Page 2
Page 2 concerns factual information relating to the
academic qualifications you have undertaken and are
currently undertaking.
Page 3
Page 3 covers any employment history and The
Personal Statement. The Personal Statement is an
absolutely crucial part of the application form. It
is the area where you get to provide more
information about yourself. You should consider this
area a personal presentation of your personality,
your interests, your motivation in life and your
strengths. Any previous and relevant experience is
also considered an asset.
