Colleges and Universities / Apply To Universities/ Completing The Application Form

Completing the Application Form

General Tips

- Before you do anything, make copies of your application form - in fact make   lots of copies. You should only start   completing the official UCAS form   when you have a completed ‘draft application’ that you are happy with.

- The Application form comes with very detailed instructions from UCAS.   Read them carefully and refer to them throughout   the time you are working   on your application. Once you have completed the application and are   happy to submit it –   check the UCAS handbook again.

- You should also check the university prospectus to ensure that they do not   require any specific information to be   included on the form.

- Get someone else to check your application form as they are likely to spot something you have missed.

- Make a start on your application as soon as possible - time passes by quickly and you do not want to rush your   application form.

- Don’t forget to sign the application form.

- Don’t forget to submit your application fee with the form.
