ALISON, which stands for Advance Learning Interactive Systems Online is rapidly becoming a world leader in free learning online communities since its launch in early 2007.

ALISON was developed by Advance Learning, a content development company from Ireland.

ALISON's mission is to allow anyone, anywhere to educate themselves for free via high quality certification-based interactive multimedia courseware. All courses on ALISON are accessible free of charge to individual learners. ALISON is advertising funded.

Among the courses offered via ALISON are highly popular ICT courses such ECDL, E-Citizen, as well as Financial Literacy, Health & Safety and Touch Typing. ALISON aims to provide a comprehensive learning platform for all basic and essential skills for the workplace.

ALISON is a resource for all certification-based learning which can be taught online by way of high-quality, self-paced interactive multimedia. ALISON can be a powerful and comprehensive resource across Vocational, Academic and Professional learning.

Across the world, billions of people do not have access to high-quality skills-based interactive learning. The reason for this is usually distance and cost. The Internet changes this dynamic and now ALISON can provide an educational opportunity like none before.
Cost and distance need not be a barrier to quality learning. Through your use and support of ALISON, we can break down these barriers to learning permanently.

ALISON also offers the value added facility of an addition Learning Management System (LMS) to monitor, track and report on learner activity where large groups of learners are concerned. This allow teachers to access quiz scores and check the progress of each student remotely. This facility costs £395 per 100 learners and can be provided on a free pilot basis so institutions can see for themselves the benefit of this system.

ALISON is already benefiting many schools and colleges in the UK by providing them with a cost effective delivery of interactive and engaging learning materials.

Brian Lewis, an administrator from Whitgift School in Surrey provided us with the following testimonial:

“The training materials and testing procedures have been embraced with enthusiasm by both staff and students…….as the Administrator of the system at the school, I have been particularly appreciative of the patient guidance which I received from the Sales Team who dealt with my stream of questions with effective good humour.”
