Diggerland is an
adventure park like no other! Children (and adults) can ride and
drive real construction machinery! The Diggerland Diggers range
from one to eight and a half tonnes of metal.
|
There are four Diggerland parks in the UK, based in Devon,
Durham, Kent and the newest addition is Yorkshire. Each park
offers educational visits for schools and general visits.
Educational Visits
Diggerland can help to provide valuable information, training,
and first hand experience. Children can experience Diggerland
with the emphasis on "Learning through fun". Several areas of
the National Curriculum are catered for, primarily in Science
and Design & Technology, making Diggerland the perfect location
for school trips. |
 |
A visit to Diggerland is particularly useful in connection with
the following modules:
Key Stage 1 & 2 Design & Technology Module
• Unit 1a Vehicles
• Unit 6c Fairground
• Unit 6d Controllable Vehicles
Key Stage 2 Science Module
