Action Outdoors believes that you need 3 things to make a great holiday:
Place - we've chosen the best locations, always your chosen activity is either "on the doorstep" or an easy journey away.

Activity - our instructors are young and passionate about their sport. Your equipment is modern & well maintained, you can be sure of getting the very most out of your holiday.

People - we sell holidays to 18 - 39 year olds with is an excellent mix of nationalities. Our centres promote an atmosphere of friendly co-operation making it easy to meet lots of like-minded people.

Teachers
Whether you are looking for a holiday for yourself, a group of friends or even an organised school group Action Outdoors can help you. We don't charge premium prices for Half Term or Easter and school groups are not mixed with normal individual bookings. For an organised school group we have certain centres and dates where we can offer an amazing value package. Our centres comply with all European laws for safety & duty of care. The centre staff will also take responsibility for all the young people during the day and with the evening activities.

Pupils
Although you do have to be between 18 and 39 to book one of our holidays individually, we do take organised groups of younger people. This can be a school group, scouts, cadets, sports club or any recognised group. These group weeks are to certain centres at certain dates, just call 0845 890 0362 for advice and the very best price.

Founders
For many years, Mark Gillis and David Robertson, have organised small group holidays for both winter & summer sports. After much time searching out the best activities at the best prices they decided to start Action Outdoors.

Action Outdoors offers a variety of carefully chosen activities in the very best locations.

Snow Sports
Skiing or Boarding from beginner to off-piste expert we have the right holiday for you. The unique package includes everything you need - accommodation, food, lift pass, ski / board hire and full time instruction / guiding. This is the best value way to go skiing - guaranteed.

Hiking
Fantastic 360 degree panoramas of beautiful mountain peaks. Either stay at a centre making several day trips, or choose a trip spending several nights in mountain refuges. For the enthusiastic we offer some extended trips such as the famous "Haute Route" from Chamonix to Zermatt.

Horse Riding

4,000 Metre Summits
For those of you who already have lots of mountain experience, and are accustomed to using ice axe and crampons. We have several trips on offer: from the highest mountain in Europe (Mont Blanc) to the less well known, but equally challenging, Grand Paradis, Monte Rosa.

Mountaineering
Don't feel ready for tackling a big summit yet - why not take up one of our mountaineering courses? Learn the techniques and equipment involved in travelling on glaciers, climbing snow and ice and general high mountain experience.

Rock Climbing
Fancy climbing up a sun kissed rock face, overlooking the scenic French or Austrian Alps? From complete beginner to the real expert we¹ve got a range of courses from sport climbing to multi-pitch trad.

Canyoning
An exciting mix of easy climbing, abseiling, hiking, jumping into rock pools and even swimming.

Multi-Sports
Our legendary multi sport week - with canyoning, mountain biking, rafting, canoeing, Via Ferrata, rock climbing, ice climbing, glacier walks, trekking... you are guaranteed not to be bored!

Sailing - Catamaran
The fastest and most exciting way to sail! Beginners or seasoned sailors will have a fantastic time. Learn to rig and launch, tack, sail up-wind and down-wind and perfect your gybes on our trapeze equipped Hobie 16s & 18s.

Windsurf
Whether you¹re a complete beginner or an expert - from your first uphaul to perfecting your carve gybes you¹ll love our windsurfing holidays.

Kite Surf
The latest adrenaline charged water sport. A fusion of windsurfing, wake boarding and power kiting. Start with the basics, or for the more experienced we run improvers weeks where you can start mastering sailing upwind, bi-directional boards, gybing and even jumping.

Sea Kayak
Explore the beautiful coast line of the French Mediterranean. Learn simple navigation and how to safely handle the boats as you pick your way from one sandy cove to the next.

Diving
Europe has some amazing diving to offer, varying from the rugged Atlantic Ocean to the calmer Mediterranean Sea. All courses cater for the complete beginner to the expert. Note: Certificates issued are CMAS and not PADI or BSAC.

Equipment
All "heavy" equipment is provided - that means skis, boats, canoes, sails etc. Also all specialised kit such as climbing gear, ice axes, even rucksacks and climbing boots.

Personal equipment (clothing, hats, gloves etc.) is not provided. You may also want to bring a small rucksack to carry such essentials as your picnic lunch. For a full list of recommended gear, plus some links to reputable retailers - check out our website.
