The concept is simple. You and your family will join several other families and travel in a small informal group to your chosen destination. Young children are natural explorers and it’s wonderful for parents to have the opportunity to see the world through their eyes. The Adventure Company offer a range of exciting activity holidays, especially designed for families with children aged one to 16 years.

Essential cultural 'must sees' like the Taj Mahal, the Pyramids, Petra or Machu Picchu are included. You’ll explore a myriad of natural wonders - mountains, deserts and rainforests. You’ll feel inspired as wildlife comes vividly to life. Trips are designed to allow a mixture of structured and free time and to be an adventure that all members of the family can join in. Given the pressures on families in this day and age this type of holiday provides a great opportunity to spend time together.

All the family will love the idea of riding a camel or an elephant, snorkelling and seeing underwater life, or cycling and canoeing. But above all this innovative development in the world of family holidays is educational - you can make your own personal discoveries, perhaps visiting a local market, and the kids will gain real insights into other cultures and ways of life.



Educational
The kids will gain real insights into other cultures and ways of life. Many of our trips will also help bring to life some of the subjects being covered at school such as Ancient Egypt, the Romans, or jungles, volcanoes, deserts, glaciers, rainforests...
 

Our departures are based around school holidays, including half-terms, although on occasion there might be a slight overlap into the term. Obviously it is up to you to decide whether to take your children out of school for these trips; we hope that their educational value will be seen as being of great benefit to your children when you seek permission from school.

School Group Adventures We have successfully operated school group adventures over a number of years. Our expertise can be called upon to help you plan a trip for your school to an amazing part of our diverse world. We’ll provide a holiday that will have genuine educational value and foster cultural understanding as well as being great fun.

Responsible Travel
At The Adventure Company we have always recognised that we are accountable for the way we
affect the local community and environment in the areas we operate in. Over recent years we have taken fundamental steps to ensure that Responsible Travel is at the heart of all aspects of
our business.

The Adventure Company has set up its own foundation to administer funds donated by you. A small donation of £1 per booking will be taken when booking a holiday and that money will be put to good use by one of our carefully selected projects. If you don’t want to make the donation, just tell us when you call. Through the Foundation, we contribute to a number of small grass-roots initiatives that really make a difference such as building houses in Sri Lanka, a community centre in Nepal and equipping schools in Morocco and Ecuador. We also try to incorporate optional visits to the projects while you’re on your adventure.
