Amanda Jane Creations Limited is a Scottish
based company specialising in playground graphics and games.

It
started six years ago after mural artist Amanda Jane was asked to
brighten up some local playgrounds by painting games on the ground.
This
started lots of research into children’s games. Many new ideas for
fun games and educational games emerged. All different paint products
were tried and tested, and eventually it became apparent that road
marking paint was the best and lasted the longest. |

The technology in
thermoplastic road markings was quite superior to any other ground
marking products, it passed all the British and European safety
regulations, and it does not contain lead or any harmful ingredients.
A great variety of colours are available, and it looks very tasteful
and stimulating in the school playground, enabling an incredible
variety of artwork to be created. Each year the product gets better
as more research is carried out. |
Marking
different games has many benefits for school children. It is becoming
more apparent as more and more schools try out different ideas. We offer
over 50 different games, some are educational, encouraging counting and
using the alphabet, some are purely for fun while other games encourage
physical and sporting activity. It is important to look at the play value
of each game, or let the children get involved in choosing games.

We now have hundreds of
schools around Britain and out in the islands , with our games marked
in them, many schools have asked us back repeatedly. Councils too
have benefited from having games marked in parks and housing estates.
Some councils are trying out different symbols for the safer routes to
school.
I’m sure as time goes
on, playground games will get more interesting, they are a valuable
way of teaching, making the playground more stimulating, and
