Asset Skills is the Sector
Skills Council for the places where we live and work. Our footprint
covers the property, housing, cleaning and facilities management
industries. Occupations within the sector are varied, and include:

Asset Skills’ remit is to
raise productivity throughout the sector by developing new
qualifications, conducting research into the skills needs of the sector
and promoting opportunities for learning. Asset skills also take the
lead for Skills for Life and literacy, numeracy and English for Speakers
of Other languages.

Alongside the development
of National Occupational Standards and qualifications, Asset skills aims
to attract new entrants into the sector. By promoting the various
occupations within the sector we are able to highlight the wide range of
exciting and varied career opportunities that exist. Our dedicated

Asset skills now has its

website has been set up primarily for 14-25 year olds but is also useful
across a wide range of audiences. The website contains information such
as; a series of job profiles in the sector, details of where to go for
more information, how to dress at interview and links to CV builders and
checkers.
