3R’s for 4 R’s –
Education Pack
Not content with teaching new tricks to dogs young and old,
Battersea Dogs & Cats Home launched a pack to educate the dog
owners of the future.
The free education pack is aimed at primary school children ages
5-11 and is therefore mapped with the curriculum Key stages 1 and
2. Written and developed entirely by practising primary school
teachers and covering curriculum subjects PSHE/Citizenship,
Literacy, History, Art and Design, Design and Technology, the pack
is designed to appeal to teachers and pupils alike, with it’s
quirky, fun illustrations by artist Jason Chapman. |

The pack is compromised
of 20 loose-leaf sheets contained in a folder packed with background
information, lesson plans and worksheets. Additionally two fantastic
A1 colour posters provide focus and aid for activities in the booklet.

Educational Activity Sheets
Our educational activity sheets are bright, colourful fun activity
sheets (illustrated by Jason Chapman) incorporating an educational
element. They are aimed at primary school children and help to promote
responsible pet ownership and all around knowledge regarding pet care.
The themes include: What to think about before you get a dog or cat,
seasonal advice on pet care – e.g. fireworks and summer holidays, as
well as different dog and cat breeds.
Activities include word searches, dot to dot’s, mazes, crosswords and
colouring in.
