Bookworld International is a family owned business, dealing in most aspects of dogs. We have owned the company for eight years.  Our aim has been to increase the  booklist considerably – from some 500 titles to the present 1,800 and growing. Through our own involvement with dogs, via showing, breeding and judging, we have listened to customers’ requests and explored  avenues to find the right book to deal with their needs.

There is a  good range of titles by British Publishers – but we search world wide to find something that little bit different. You can discover a very basic book – under encyclopaedias – giving general information on all breeds, or you can ‘search’ for more involved subjects under such headings as breeding, canine structure, genetics and diseases.

We find that by attending Championship Dog Shows and  discussing  peoples’ requirements, we are best able to equip our website with the most comprehensive booklist possible.

Customers include families, people embarking on their first litter – needing guidance and assurance via a book, and students beginning courses at College and University. We are happy to offer generous discounts to students ordering several books at a time, and also to breeders, anxious to educate the new owner of their individual breed. This is such an important aspect of ‘sensible’ dog ownership.
