I found the site fascinating and want to tell all our parents about it. We are having a ‘what to do during the summer’ fete for parents about safety, travel, fun entertainment etc. We particularly wanted to warn them about the sun – should we get any! And Childalert had the information we were looking for.

‘We were made aware of Childalert’s Childproofing Service and thought this would be ideal to include in our service to Fostering Families. When it comes to child safety in the home we want to make sure our foster parents get the best advice available.’

4. Childalert BeSafe Guides:

There are seven guides in the series all relating to personal safety in the home and on the move.

  • Safety in the home
  • Internet Safety
  • Stranger Danger
  • Personal Safety
  • Drugs
  • Safety while Shopping
  • Mobile Phone Safety

Each of these guides offers practical advice for both adult and child. We recommend they be read individually and as a group; keeping an open mind and encouraging discussion. Remind your students that as adults, you will always be available and open to listen to any concerns they might have over any of these issues.

I have told all our parents in our weekly newsletter about the Childalert BeSafe Guides – we look forward to receiving many £pounds – thank you.

5. Childalert ‘Parentalk’ seminars:

Although these are listed as parenting seminars they would benefit teachers and carers of children in both a professional and private capacity.

FOR MOST PEOPLE BECOMING A PARENT IS RELATIVELY EASY.

Almost anyone can do it. You don’t need a licence, formal qualifications, or any real knowledge at all about children in order to produce one.

It’s being a parent that’s the tough bit.

The Childalert Parentalk seminars have attracted many thousands of mums and dads, from all over the country and from all kinds of family situations. The seminars are a lively mixture of shared stories and laughter, questions and answers, practical principles and inspirations for making the most of being a parent.

These seminars can be hosted by your organisation for the benefit of parent employees or they can be taken out of the work environment and organised independently. Parentalk seminars can act as a platform for other local parenting or community initiatives.

Seminars are in a presentation, dialogue and discussion format lasting approx. 2 hours long. The cost is £350 exclusive of vat.
