We have negotiated TWO very important facilities…..

1. ONE return journey to the United Kingdom from the overseas destination for up to 28 days. Under normal LONG STAY products you are NOT allowed to return to the United Kingdom or you will break the contract. Our option will allow a return journey back to the United Kingdom for a Christmas break or to attend a wedding etc etc.

2. Up to 30 days anywhere in the world outside the area of purchase subject to a minimum period of SIX months. For example, if you were leaving the United Kingdom for 12 months travels and spending around 11 months in Australia / New Zealand and (say) three or four weeks in the Far East OR in the United States, you can purchase the AUSTRALASIA cover, which is effectively our cheapest premium under our ORBIT scheme.

GAP YEAR provides ORBIT cover for the under 21's who are travelling during their official GAP Year before returning 
to the United Kingdom to full-time education.


STUDY ABROAD provides mainly EXCELSIOR SUPASTAY cover but ORBIT cover for some periods in WORLDWIDE including USA and CANADA for under 26;s who can provide proof of official Study Abroad as part of their UK education.

Some tips……..

1. Watch out for HIGH EXCESSES, often hidden in information provided, as LOW premiums usually means HIGER EXCESSES.
2. Almost 99% of ALL claims occur under just THREE sections of cover, being MEDICAL, CANCELLATION/CURTAILMENT and BAGGAGE (PERSONAL POSSESSIONS). Do not be taken in by 'suggested' requirements that may be totally irrelevant to your safety.
3. Be wary if any organisation is selling a Backpacker or Economy scheme and a separate LONG STAY scheme.
4. Be VERY CAREFULL - literally ANYBODY can currently sell Travel Insurance and there is currently absolutely nothing to protect the public from any undesirable suppliers, who may have absolutely no intention of providing any service whatsoever.
5. Remember you are purchasing an INSURANCE product NOT a TRAVEL product.
