The Dinosaur Adventure Park offers a unique and exciting day out for schools, combining education with adventure and fun.
A visit to the Park can form the basis for a range of national curriculum activities and well as providing an outstanding natural history ramble for youngsters.
Learning As You Go
Children explore the lost world of the dinosaurs along the Dinosaur Trail, where giants of the past lurk in wait. Information boards give details of these fascinating reptiles, and you can discover more through illustrations, videos and exhibits provided by the Dinosaur Society in the Education Centre.
Creatures and tribes from way back in time are found on the Neanderthal Walk, from cave bears to woolly mammoths. Search for ‘dinosaur remains’ in the Fossil Dig and see fossils unearthed after 200 million years in our Fossil Workshop.
Secret Animal Garden
Children can make friends with unusual as well as traditional farm animals in the Secret Animal Garden - from hedgehogs and lambs to pigs and ferrets. Stroke and hold animals in the themed petting areas, look out for wallabies and ostriches in the viewing areas and don’t miss our daily demonstrations and feeding times. Set within a landscaped Victorian walled garden with water features, the environment we have created will stimulate children’s natural interest and concern for wildlife.
Space To Roam
Acres of magnificent woodland offer plenty of space for youngsters to run and play. Our adventure play area is one of the largest in Norfolk, including the 75ft Climb-a-saurus and Assaultosaurus. Plus Raptor Racers, Woodland Maze and Jurassic Putt Crazy Golf.
In The Classroom
Our Discovery Pack is full of ideas, information and illustrations to bring your classes alive. Once a booking has been made, a Pack will be sent to you free of charge for your use either before or after your visit.
