2,552 Schools are also affiliated and work very closely to develop Netball. The wider picture of Netball in the World sees England as a Member of the Federation of Europe Associations (Netball Europe), which in turn is one of the 5 geographical divisions of the International Federation of Netball Associations (IFNA).

England Netball is always striving to improve the quality of opportunities for all it’s members, so that the same opportunities are available, for all to access across the country.

Through Long Term Athlete Development, England Netball aims to enable all participants to achieve their potential and to have the opportunity to play appropriate competitive Netball. The development of quality junior clubs, providing the right environment and competition is crucial. Schools and clubs will focus on enabling their players to access, Academies, Regional Talent programmes, Talent 1 & 2 and ultimately England squads. Therefore, playing in the appropriate league competition to support this development is important.

Each affiliated School receives a Schools’ pack, which includes 2 posters, a calendar and a Netball magazine, which is provided every two months. This year a leaflet about Netball and Long Term Athlete Development will be included.

England Netball is part of the PESSCL (PE & School Club Links) Programme and has 9 Regional Support Officers who are working with schools and clubs to provide a seamless pathway for all young people.

On our Website there is a student information pack which helps with GCSE & A Level projects as well as our merchandise section which provides resources, including a Teacher pack for High 5 Netball, the only game to be played in Primary Schools.
