Fledglings is the UK's student resource for Summer Internships, Industrial Placements, Work Experience and Vacation Schemes for Undergraduates and ultimately Graduate Careers.   The website has been created specifically for students and graduates by the founder, who was a placement student herself.

Fledglings works with all the UK University Placement Co-ordinators to help ensure that employers are made aware of the value of placement and student participation in their workplace.  Fledglings has endeavoured to provide a service which encourages employers to recruit undergraduates.  With an online National/International jobs board together with a participating network of placement officers and careers advisers, employers have an efficient and cost effective method of finding their undergraduates and graduates. 

The Fledglings website allows students to:

• Create an online CV Profile - Tailor CV Profile and covering letter to help job placement applications.

• Use the Diary facility to track applications and display feedback.

• Receive email alerts about new jobs.

• Have access to full job descriptions and company profiles.

• Record job applications via ‘My applications’, where you can review your covering letters and follow up responses.

• Save interesting prospects for further consideration and track applications in your ‘favourites area’.
