Gap activity
projects was founded in 1972 by a teacher who
recognised that students wanting to take a Gap year between
school and university were having trouble finding placements
overseas that satisfied their desire for adventure whilst doing
worthwhile volunteer work in a safe environment.
Now, thirty years later, the students have changed but we have
continued to provide that same service and grown in size from
sending an initial handful of volunteers to Berlin to now
sending over 1,000 Gappers away each year to 27 countries
worldwide! |

Not only that, we now have staff in Australia, New Zealand,
South Africa, Nepal and Canada sending volunteers to the UK and
Ireland as well as all over the world. Our aim is to be truly
international, sending volunteers overseas to have a
life-changing experience.
