What are Grandma Vine's Products?
 Grandma
Vine’s is a range of natural therapeutic skincare products
originally created by Barbara Dennie and marketed by the company she
founded, The Best of Nature. Barbara felt that there was a gap in the UK
market for products that offered consumers an alternative to the
plethora of harsh, chemical based toiletries and steroid-based creams
for the treatment of skin
problems found in today's high street, and pro-actively developed the
Grandma Vines range to fill the gap.
But
Why Grandma?
Barbara
who suffered with eczema, found difficulty finding effective relief from
the stressful itch/scratch cycle and help to fight the bacteria on the
open skin that prevents the skin calming and healing. For moisture and
elasticity, Barbara had to rely on tubs of greasy emollient creams which
were not easily absorbed and laid on the surface of the skin. She longed
for for natural, therapeutic products that would help to control the
outbreaks and moisture creams that absorb well, and would also include
natural ingredients to help the skin recover and become soft, supple and
healthy once more.

Barbara remembered from her childhood that
it was her grandmother, Grandma Vine, the matriarch of the family who
actually had administered tried and tested, proven recipes handed down
over the generations for the families various ailments. Barbara received
comfort and relief from these recipes, trusting her Grandmother to
deliver them. |

Her interest in natural remedies was
deepened during her 27 years spent living and working in Africa.
There she found people in rural areas still putting their faith in nature,
using plants and herbs for treatment of their families health needs.
On her return to the UK
Barbara realised that more and more people were interested in natural
alternative products and an increase in skin problems also allergies and
reactions to chemical formulas meant that they were actively seeking safer
skin products. Barbara felt disheartened that in the rush to adopt modern
medicine so many of the traditional tried and tested remedies have been lost
and forgotten. It dawned on her that that the most successful strategy would
be to combine some of these proven recipes for skin problems with a modern
application.
Barbara researched thoroughly to source recipes
that best translated into today’s society. She used optimum levels of
therapeutic ingredients to provide maximum benefits to the skin.
And so
Grandma Vines was born...
