Greenforce is an international research agency.
Their work is aimed at conserving wildlife and endangered habitats around the globe.

The Greenforce aim is to assist in the conservation of wildlife and the natural environment through the provision of interpretative biological information regarding species within or using protected areas. In doing so to integrate with existing programs and collaborate with like-minded institutions, for mutual benefit, and to ensure the sustainable development of the aforementioned protected areas.

Since these early days Greenforce teams have expanded the remit to include resource assessments, population estimates and distribution mapping. Their data can be used to fulfil a variety of information needs: for example, surveys are needed prior to the establishment of wildlife protection zones, controlled hunting or fishing zones, and to guide the development of eco-tourism facilities in a fragile habitat. Local communities based around our survey zones can use the information we gather to develop plans for sustainable usage of their environmental resources, thereby ensuring their traditional lifestyle can be maintained for generations to come.
