The Hornsby Centre is one of the world’s leading specialist dyslexia centres. The Centre aims to educate, advise, assist and support teachers and parents in helping the dyslexic individual.

Dyslexia courses by attendance in London or Cardiff

We provide first class training courses for teachers, parents and other professionals.

§         OCR Certificate and Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD)

§         Hornsby Fast Track Certificate and Diploma

§         NEW Literacy Support Assistants course, beginning September 2002

§         5 week Foundation course, suitable for teachers and parents

§         10 week Study Skills course for those working with children over the age of 9

Dyslexia Courses by Distance Learning

§         Hornsby Diploma by Distance Learning allows individuals to study at their own pace, at any location

§         Qualified teachers may use the Hornsby Diploma as part fulfilment of a Masters Degree

Bookshop
We have a Bookshop at the Centre, stocking a wide range of up to date workbooks, textbooks, computer software and teaching materials, including classical texts by Prof Hornsby and others, such as the Alpha to Omega range. Resources may be purchased in person, by telephone, mail order or the Internet.

Up-date information on Dyslexia
The Friends of the Hornsby Centre receive a newsletter each term, keeping them up to date with the latest developments in SpLD, news of current and upcoming events and the work at the Centre. Up-date conferences are held three times a year, providing well-known guest speakers.
