Hoyle’s Rules of Games is one of the longest continuously published books
in the world, well over 200 years, and whilst Hoyle’s ,‘ the first name in
games, ‘ has been around in the games business for around a tenth of that
time it has built up a strong reputation in supplying quality traditional
games and games equipment both to the public and to local schools and
colleges in the Oxford area where we are based. We have had a presence on
the world wide web for over five years during which sales have increased
exponentially year on year so much so that we now include juggling and
magic equipment in our range.

We supply all the
necessary equipment and books to enable schools and education
establishments to run clubs for chess, backgammon, mah jong, go and
all traditional classical games. Also all lighter games such as
dominoes, marbles, skittles, playing cards, board games generally.
Our range on the web is
only about 10 percent of that available in our shop and by mail order
and as a matter of course schools and colleges are offered 15% price
discounts on any multiple orders. |

Furthermore we will source
games equipment from several different suppliers in order to maximise
value for money and also to take into account any special requirements you
may have, eg playing cards in braile, large size versions of games, etc.
Ongoing service in terms of spares to replace lost or worn-out games items
is provided as a matter of course.
We will supply nationally as a matter of course but also ship regularly
worldwide.
We supply schools and college clubs with all manner of games equipment,
not just chess, but all traditional games and juggling and magic.
We are happy to sponsor individual tournaments, e.g. The Midland Open Go
Tournament each February in St Edmund Hall, Oxford, and provide a trade
sales presence with a commission to the organisers.
