THE ICE HOCKEY SUPERLEAGUE

A league of skill… A league of speed…. A league of excitement…
A league of opportunities!

The Ice Hockey Superleague was established in 1996, taking Ice Hockey in Britain to the next level and becoming a fully professional operation. Ice Hockey in the UK has grown at an incredible rate since the presence of Superleague, which offers elite ice hockey played in state-of-the-art Arena's. The construction of these Arena's, with capacities of circa 8,000, has enabled ice hockey to become more than just a sport - Superleague ice hockey is an entertainment. Emotive and interactive; no experience matches that of a great game of Superleague hockey.

Figures show that last season over 1 million spectators attended Superleague games and over 3 million tuned into television broadcasts. Superleague hockey is the ultimate family entertainment, and it is not uncommon to see crowds of 6,000 - 8,000 at regular season matches.

Reaching the hearts and minds of our supporters, male or female, young or old our fans share one love, and that love is great ice hockey! Few other sports carry such a broad spectrum of fans. Few other sports welcome the WHOLE family. Few other sports create such an electric atmosphere!

The Finals of Superleague competitions are sell-out events where thousands of families enjoy the excitement and passion created by this electrifying sport.

The Superleague's website, www.ICEweb.co.uk, has a unique Real Time Results System which enables anyone, anywhere in the world to watch a Superleague game as it happens, second by second! The most exciting way to "miss" a match; an average of 2,000 spectators log on for every single game.

The Superleague continues to attract sponsors whose products and services are recognised world-wide. Whilst the Superleague itself is in partnership with Sekonda, the no.1 watch brand in the UK, the Superleague teams have the support of a host of big name companies such as adidas, allsports, British Telecom, Virgin and the Evening Standard amongst many others.

The Superleague has clubs in the following towns and Cities:
Ayr, Belfast, Bracknell, Cardiff, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Sheffield.
