The National Army
Museum in Chelsea houses some of Britain's finest military treasures.
As well as chronicling the campaigns and battles fought by the British
over the last 500 years the Museum's displays illustrate the social
history of the British Army from Tudor times to the present day,
offering a unique insight into the lives and experiences of its
soldiers. Throughout the Museum paintings, photographs, uniforms and
equipment are combined with reconstructions and life-size models to
bring the soldier's story vividly to life. |
The National Army Museum’s
Education Department provides programmes and activities for all age groups
and abilities, which are designed to increase enjoyment of the Museum and
understanding of soldiers’ lives through the ages. Taught sessions and
entrance to the Museum are free, and we try to be as flexible as possible
to meet your group’s requirements.
