Catered Chalet Holidays
- Verbier - Switzerland
www.peakski.co.uk
Verbier, Switzerland is situated high in the Alps and has an excellent sun
and snow record, with nearly all of the skiing above 2,300m which stands
it in very good stead in these days of global warming.
Our season starts at the beginning of December and goes on until the end
of April. This could be of interest to various schools and colleges, who
wish to take pupils or students on a ski trip during off peak periods.

Peak Ski has been operating catered chalets in Verbier for the last 24
seasons. The Company is run by keen skiers and boarders, for like minded
people, both young and old. We have 8 chalets available, varying in
sizes. With qualified staff to run them and we can place groups of up to
24 in two adjacent chalets if required. If you check our web site
www.peakski.co.uk
you can see all our chalets with the floor plans.
Over the years we have welcomed a number of school and collage groups,
as well as GAP students. We currently have 18 students training for
their British Association of Ski Instructors Level 111 qualification
over a 9 week period. They enjoy the comfort and continuity of living in
a chalet whilst doing their ski training and exams. When qualified they
normally stay on to work for the rest of the season, many of them
returning again the following year to work for one of the five ski
schools in resort.
Catered chalets have always been very popular with the British as they
give guests the opportunity to relax in their own home in the mountains,
without having to do any of the hard work. Peak Ski always has
experienced staff to run the chalets, to prepare and serve a high
standard of food, and keep the chalets clean and tidy. A number of
guests have been coming nearly has many years as we have been operating.
All of our chalets are well located in the village and it is easy to get
to all the places you wish to go both during the day and for your après
ski entertainment.

Verbier is a very compact village, where everything is within walking
distance, shops, ski rental, restaurants and the lift stations. It is
built on a natural south facing bowl on the mountain at 1,500 m with
skiing on the slopes above going up to Mont Fort at 3,333 m. The ski
area is very extensive going as far as Tyon in one direction and Nendaz
in the other. There is as much off piste as there is piste, all easily
accessible by the new modern lift system that has been put in place over
the last few years. With the advent of snow making equipment the resort
has kept all the runs open and in very good condition, in spite of the
fact this season has been quite poor for snow throughout the Alps. Many
resort below 1,500 m have been very badly hit. You have been able to ski
in Verbier since the 2nd December and the lifts do not close until the
end of April.
The resort is ideal for mixed ability groups. With 5 ski schools all
lessons can be in several languages but mostly in French and English.
Lessons are offered on a group or private basis, the choice is yours. We
do advise pre-booking to ensure you get the lessons and instructors you
want.

Getting to Verbier couldn’t be easier, flights from the UK only take 1.5
hours and the transfer from the airport is 2 hours. There is a choice of
transfer to resort, either by booking a private minibus/coach, shuttle
service or coming up on the Swiss train system, this has 3 changes but
is very efficient.
When in resort there are a variety of things to do apart from the
extensive skiing. Many bars and restaurants to visit, the sports centre
with a swimming pool and ice rink and spar treatments. Also a local
cinema, that show films in English. For the more energetic you have dual
parapenting and husky riding from the first lift station at Runiette.
Peak Ski will be very pleased to give you further information regarding
prospective visits to the resort.
