Get
creative with Persil
| Isn't one of the
magic moments of parenthood when your little one gets home from school or
nursery clutching a colourful, paint-splattered, glittery masterpiece - soon to
take pride of place in your home? Unfortunately,
art and craft can sometimes be a lesser priority for schools in the allocation
of funding. According to the Artworks Survey in July 2001, some schools spend
as little as 60p a year per child on art materials, with infant schools
spending on average £1.18 a year per child and junior schools spending just 11p
more.

'Get creative'
aims to supplement existing resources to ensure the UK's budding Picassos have
the means to explore their creativity and make their classrooms an even better
environment for learning.
By collecting
'Persil Stars' on most Persil packs from October 2002 until May 2003, and then
again starting in September 2003, you can help your child's class or school get
their share of at least £7m worth of free art and craft classroom kits -
effectively doubling the available resources in some schools!

Learning
to Dream
"The Arts
are a window on our world that can capture a child's imagination and let it
grow. We should all have the opportunity to look through that window"
- HRH The Prince of Wales
The means to
explore creativity is a vital part of a child's education in the early years.
It encourages experimentation and inventiveness, developing a child's
confidence and understanding of the world around them. And by playing a small
part and collecting Persil Stars, you can help make a difference.
